Katherine Singson is an international business executive with more than 30 years of experience at start-ups, turnarounds, and multinationals. She began her career in Silicon Valley at an artificial intelligence start-up, then went on to work with iconic technology companies including NeXT, Apple, Pixar, and Microsoft. Her career is defined by entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and how innovation can enhance lives.

As a marketer, Katherine worked directly for Steve Jobs at all three of his companies, starting with the transformation of NeXT Computer from hardware to software. Their strategic acquisition by Apple ignited the remarkable turnaround that is well known today. On the success of Toy Story, Jobs recruited Katherine to build the marketing and publicity department at Pixar Animation Studios. There she launched a rare 50/50 co-marketing agreement with The Walt Disney Co., critical groundwork for a powerful partnership that drove the commercial success of future blockbusters.

After a stint in Europe, Katherine joined Microsoft ANZ (Australia & New Zealand). As part of their leadership team for the Entertainment & Devices Division, she held responsibility for the consumer marketing of Xbox and Windows.

Katherine has a passion for deeply humanistic, emotionally-connected and elegant product development. She has worked in various industries from financial services to medical technology, among others. Now based once again in Silicon Valley, she is dedicated to helping improve the future of healthcare.

In 2019, Katherine was diagnosed with Stage III Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, a hard to detect form of breast cancer. This began a harrowing journey through the US medical system that left her physically and emotionally scarred.

Her story is one of resilience.
